What exactly is “intuitive tarot”? First, let’s talk about what “intuitive” means. It is defined as “The power or faculty of knowing or sensing without the use of rational processes; immediate cognition.” That sounds kind of like psychic, I can hear you say to yourself. It’s similar, but not quite the same. Often, the terms “intuitive” and “psychic” are used interchangeably; they are, however, different. While intuition is that “flash of knowing without reasoning”, psychic awareness is defined as “sensitive to nonphysical or supernatural forces and influences”. It includes abilities such as clairvoyance, telepathy, and precognition. So, we see intuition as being normal - an instinct, hunch, or gut feeling - and psychic awareness as paranormal. While I use both my intuitive and psychic abilities (I do connect with “the other side” during readings) I’ve found it easier to simply use the term “intuitive”. Everyone has the ability to be intuitive (and psychic). Haven’t you ever thought of someone and minutes later they called you on the phone? Or you’ve been looking for a parking spot and for some reason you feel drawn to turn left down that little side street and lo and behold, there’s the BEST parking space ever? For some people, their intuitive and/or psychic abilities are stronger than for others. I happen to have those gifts, and I’ve spent many years (and continue daily) to work with my abilities. That’s the intuitive/psychic part.

Okay, so what is tarot? Tarot cards are simply a deck of 78 cards, dating back to the 1400s, that are used as a divination tool. Most tarot scholars today agree that they originated in 15th century Northern Italy. Originally, the cards were used for a game similar to bridge; records of tarot being used for divination don’t show up until the late 1500s. There are, today, thousands of tarot decks in existence, some replicas of those 15th century cards, and some that have been designed in the 21st century.

There are many ways to read the cards, and each reader has her/his own method. Some readers assign a specific meaning to a card, and when they read the cards they read that specific meaning. Some read the symbols on the cards, which can represent astrology, numerology, and kabbalah, as well as the colors and card graphics. Others, like me, are intuitive and/or psychic readers. Yes, we also connect to the cards themselves - the graphics, colors, and symbolism. Beyond that, the cards act as a portal, or doorway, to the “intuitive” and “paranormal” realms where we connect to your guides, our guides, and any other energies or entities that may have information to pass on to you. While using the cards is not necessary for connecting to the “other side”, it is a way to enhance the experience for the client, using the card graphics, colors, and symbolism to reinforce the message.

The information offered through a tarot reading can assist you in gaining perspective on what is happening in the present. You will be provided the guidance and clarity necessary to make decisions that will allow you to move past obstacles and barriers that are preventing you from living the life you desire.

As an intuitive/psychic reader, I do not tell my clients their future. My goal is not to tell you what is next, but to help you to create, for yourself, a future filled with purpose, meaning, passion, and joy. It is important to remember that whatever comes up in a reading is not written in stone; you alone determine your own fate. The cards reflect the patterns of your life, the potential and possibilities that exist for you. I can tell you what will likely unfold if you continue on the same path, and I can tell you what the likely outcome will be should you choose to change your behaviors and patterns. I can uncover for you those habits that have become obstacles to your forward movement. I can give you practical solutions to moving past those obstacles. What I won’t do is foretell your future. I am here to empower you, not to take your power! After all, don’t you want to create your own future?

An Intuitive Tarot reading can be highly beneficial if you need guidance with a particular issue, clarity to help you move through a life transition, or simply want to know what’s happening in your life at the moment. Partners Tarot Consultation ($150/hour)
Even the best relationships sometimes need assistance to move forward. A Partners session can uncover blocks or obstacles in personal, family, or business relationships.
